The Company is continuously reinforcing its Mining operations by bringing more and more areas under development. In the upcoming years, the Company's Mining Division is targeting a four-fold growth.
Through our group companies, Somika has also obtained permission for Mining Research at 27 potential Mining areas. For such massive Research programme, we are likely to get associated with reliable Foreign Collaborators.
Enhancement of the level of mechanization in Mining activity is a high priority area identified by the company. We have already made investments in the Mining Companies having sophisticated Mining and Bulk Material Handling Equipments. By such strategic investment, preferential rights to use such facilities are ensured for speedy growth.
Quality being a matter of prime concern, laboratory is set up at each of the Mining centre along with deployment of well-trained personnel. It also has services of experienced Geologists.
Concentrator
During Mining, large quantities of low-grade ores need to be excavated to get the desired grades. The company has installed functional Concentrator with a view to optimize the long run mining cost by making use of low grade minerals, which otherwise are uneconomical to process. This has not only reduced mining Cost but also increase availability of mineral ores of desired quality.
